Integrated Counselor Training

Although there has been abundant research about the overrepresentation of people with co-occurring conditions among those with major medical problems and the most pressing social problems, people with this complex symptom profile are the least likely to receive services or treatment. Because of gaps between research and applied practice, the human, social, and economic costs associated with co-occurrence continue to outpace the progress made through research efforts.

We offer a variety of training resources for the clinician and agency committed to providing state-of-the-art integrated treatment. Our modular provider training program and facilitator's guide offer the answer to transferring research-based co-occurring disorder treatment techniques to community practitioners. We conduct workshops throughout the nation to teach the individual practitioner or agency staff about how to deliver integrated treatment, along with an Integrated Experiential Training Center for those who are interested in a more intensive training experience.
